Points Scoring Rules

OK gang...here's how scoring works for the NCNCA Cup season standings.

- All categories are scored on the same scale giving points down to 15 places. Points are awarded as follows: 22, 17, 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

- All races receive equal weighting except the season finals at Peak Season which will be double.

- One race will be dropped from each rider's score for final points. (Best 5 out of 6 races).

- End of season prizes will be distributed by raffle. There will be recognition of points leaders as well.

- Where there is an A and B group (for masters, juniors, etc) only the A group is scored for the series. B Men and B Women are the only B groups scored. For races with junior age groups (10-14, 14-18 etc) the older group is scored.

Note on accuracy of race results:
Race scoring is provided by the individual promoters. We at the NCNCA can't fix scoring errors after the fact. Our results are only as good as what's provided by the race promoter. To get the most accurate results:

1) Make sure you fill out your entry forms legibly
2) Make sure reg staff knows what group you're entering (for example if you're a 35 year old woman but racing A's)
3) ALWAYS check results at the event right after they are posted. Monday or Tuesday is not the time. Protest periods are there for a reason.
4) Results errors should be taken up with the promoter first, not the hapless volunteers in charge of the NCNCA Cup.

For scoring corrections it would be best if you contact the race promoter Brian at big swingin' cycles, the phone number is in the race announcement.

What do you mean by awards raffle?
If I win the overall, do I get a raffle ticket?

So if you raced GGP, for example, and you didn't get any points, is that score dropped? Or is the lowest score where you actually got points?
